Frequently asked questions

 FAQs

  • With the exception of your initial intake appointment, which is 75 minutes, typical individual sessions will be 50 minutes long.

  • The frequency is dependent on you and what you have going on in your life. I like to begin by meeting weekly if possible so that we can establish rapport and get into our counseling groove, but we will work together to come up with a frequency that meets your needs and schedule.

  • Similar to session frequency, this one is highly dependent on you. We can check in regularly to reassess our goals for treatment and see if less frequency is needed.

  • At this time, all sessions are virtual, with the exception of walk-and-talk sessions, offered at a pre-decided upon park in Fort Worth, TX.

  • 50 minute sessions will be a charge of $165. Your intake session will be a one-time higher fee of $180 for a 75 minute session.

  • The short answer is, no. At this time I am not taking insurance. I can however provide you a Super Bill you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.*

In an ideal world, insurance companies would make it simpler for clients and therapists to connect and work together. However, with insurance companies dictating how long we can see each other and what treatments are prescribed, I find that I am able to do more authentic work with clients when insurance is not involved. A diagnosis that follows you and prescriptive treatment do not align with my counseling ideals.

*Note, it is your responsibility to check with your insurance company to see if they offer out of network reimbursement.
